Members of the Board

The Danish Rail Regulatory Body consists of a chairman and six members and a number of deputies with in-depth subject expertise.

Collectively, the board members represent in-depth expertise within railway engineering, railway safety, social economy and law, including competition and consumer law.

The board members and alternates are appointed for a period of 4 years.

Appointment of board members and alternates

The chairman of the board must be a judge and appointed by the relevant court president.

The other members and alternates of the Danish Rail Regulatory Body are appointed by the Minister for Business after consultation with the Minister for Transport on the basis of a recommendation from the Technical University of Denmark, Aarhus University, University of Southern Denmark, University of Copenhagen, Copenhagen Business School or the Competition and Consumer Authority.
